Joyce Lehan is an energetic, compassionate, and client-focused real estate professional with a lifelong dedication to helping others. Known for her friendly, adaptable nature and highly responsive approach, Joyce brings empathy and enthusiasm to every client relationship, ensuring a supportive and personalized experience.

Joyce’s diverse professional background spans several people-centered roles, including 4th grade teacher, banking manager, certified nursing assistant, and entrepreneur. Originally from Vermont, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Southern Maine and began her career with Fleet Bank. Over the years, she successfully managed branches for respected institutions such as Peoples United Bank, Newburyport Bank, and Eastern Bank. During her banking career, she obtained her Series 6 and 63 licenses, along with mortgage licensing, giving her a strong foundation in real estate financing.

After starting a family, Joyce pursued her passion for education and earned her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Lesley University. She went on to teach 4th grade in the Haverhill public school system for several years, where she made a lasting impact on her students and community.

At age 50, Joyce launched her own senior care business, Seniors Helping Seniors Northshore, where she successfully matched caregivers with clients across the region. She also dedicated significant time volunteering with Councils on Aging throughout the North Shore, including in Newburyport, Amesbury, Salisbury, Danvers, Beverly, and Merrimac. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of her business, Joyce stepped up to serve on the front lines as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Anna Jaques Hospital.

A longtime Newburyport resident of over 30 years, Joyce has raised her three children in the community she proudly calls home. She has been deeply involved in local organizations, including serving on the founding board of the Newburyport Mothers Club, volunteering in schools and PTO activities, and contributing to groups such as the Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, Newburyport BNI, Newburyport Education Foundation, Yankee Homecoming, Our Neighbors’ Table, and the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center.

When she’s not helping clients navigate their real estate journey, Joyce enjoys spending time with her family, playing pickleball, and practicing yoga.
